We were looking for a king sized mattress and stopped at Metro Mattress to see what they had. Our salesperson was Ryan who first fitted us for a comfortable pillow and then took us on a "comfort tour" of many of the beds. We spent 4-6 minutes laying on each mattress, working our way from very soft to very firm, and listening to a discussion of the various features of each mattress. Ryan was a very accommodating salesperson, very attuned to what we liked and didn't like in both a pillow and a mattress. He was truly interested in fitting us with the right items.After trying a lot of beds we selected the "Pure Tally Bliss" mattress which, beside being very comfortable for both of us, is made in AMERICA, hypoallergenic and dissipates body heat. We also purchased the king EZ base, a GM Vertex mattress protector that also dissipates heat, two pillows and a headboard. The total price with tax, removal of an old mattress and the moving of another mattress was around $4,700.00. We have slept now on the new bed for about 2 weeks and are very happy with our purchases. The mattress and the mattress pad really do dissipate excess body heat!Delivery was quick, we could have had it delivered the next day, but chose to have it all delivered in 2 days time. The headboard came from another store and that was delivered in 3 days. There was a problem fitting the headboard with the pre drilled holes in the EZ Base, but after two tries by the installers they were able to mount a modification plate to fit the headboard to the base. I was impressed by their persistence and attention to detail.

The customer service on the phone and online were wonderful. The delivery people were really nice, they came in and put the box spring and mattress up and took out my old ones. The only bad thing was the box spring I bought was poor quality and pretty much made of plywood. It already has a hole in it. Otherwise it was a great experience!

Ryan and Ryan were both so helpful. I told them what I wanted to spend on a mattress for our son. They showed me everything available in that price range and a little above. They were very patient and knowledgeable of what each mattress offers. I felt so comfortable with the 2 and was a little bummed when I had to leave. Felt like I was with family. I felt confident I was not being taken advantage of. I was treated with respect and kindness. Ed was also there. He was very professional and personable. He offered me eggnog which I thought was so super kind . Again, felt more like a family gathering then mattress shopping. I would definitely recommend Metro Mattress to our friends and family. This is our 2nd mattress purchase since summer. Each experience was very pleasant. Our neighbor, Harry Clute, suggested your company to us. Harry has also been extremely helpful. Ryan and Kevin were very helpful in choosing a mattress to meet our needs. We needed a mattress for a guest room before the Christmas holiday. We chose a mattress and our guests said they were very comfortable. However, I was a bit surprised to see an indentation already after only two weeks of use especially when a 5 year old mostly slept on it. I was assured of the good quality of the mattress and realize that some compression happens so hopefully this small compression is all that happens.

The in store service was excellent. There was no rush, no pressure and plenty of time to test multiple mattresses. The salesman knew his stock very well. The delivery was unimaginably fast - 7:30 the following morning. Deliverymen were very professional and polite. All in all it was a good shopping experience and I would recommend Metro Mattress.

I ordered the EZbase frame online and selected the delivery option which was more expensive than just shipping the product because the website indicated that this option included assembly. Delivery was scheduled for 6 to 9 pm on a Saturday. I had other plans during the day but was able to be home by 5:45pm. Starting around 4:40 pm the delivery team began calling me. They called me over ten times and left mutliple messages. Turns out they had finished early and I was the last call of the day. When I returned their calls, around 5:05 pm, the driver was very brusque. I indicated that I couldn't be home for another 30 minutes so I was willing to forgo the assembly and just have them leave the product. He said "We are not setting this up." I was confused and said that I had paid more for that option, and he just repeated that they refused to set it up. He told me they could wait or I could reschedule. Wanting to clarify the set up issue I opted to reschedule. I realize this man wanted his day to be over and was frustrated that I was not home, however he showed extremely poor customer service and outright lied to me. I went to the metro mattress store instead of going home and the salesperson indicated that, with only a few exceptions, most deliveries absolutely do come with set up. It was too late for the drivers to come back so we rescheduled for Monday night. I asked for some accommodations given the inconvenience. She said she would have to look into that and would call me back when she was next at work, that coming Tuesday. I have still not received a call. The 2nd delivery team was exceptional. Similar to the first, I was the last delivery of the day but they were friendly, effficient, and provided great customer service. Given this mixed experience I would think twice about using Metro Mattress again. I have had good experiences with the products, but I don't appreciate being lied to or treated rudely, or being ignored when I have made a request.

When we walked into Metro Mattress, my husband and I were clueless on what to look for in a new mattress. So much has changed in the last 10 years since we bought our last mattress, which was also purchased through Metro Mattress. Jennifer came over right away and made us feel comfortable. She was very thorough educating us on many of the mattresses. She asked a lot of questions to understand what we needed and wanted in a mattress. After laying down and trying multiple beds, we found our mattress. We ended up purchasing a Tempur-Flex Breeze Queen set. We are excited for its delivery this week. Bought a mattress a fear years ago and needed to replace it. Inquired to see if it was under warranty still and Ryan C helped us and made the process very easy. I did not like the person that I dealt with. He was a fast talker and I didn't realize until after I got home that the mattress was a clearence mattress; which means you buy it as is and could not be returned if my granddaughter thought it to be uncomfortable. When I went back he assured me that the mattress I purchased had never been on display nor used.

I actually ordered a bed, box spring and frame online. The process was simple & fast. They called within a couple hours and setup delivery for the very next day. Delivery was on time and products quality is good. The only reason I'm taking 1 star away is because the setup guys left a bar and some screws under the bed. Idk why. Not sure if they were extra parts or if they forgot to put the bar on and were too lazy to fix it. They didn't say anything about it. But it seems secure without it so idk.

Obviously I needed to replace my mattress. This is usually an embarrassing thing to do...laying down on various mattresses in your preferred sleep position while talking to a complete stranger is just plain weird. However, Ken G. made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process. He listened to what I needed, showed me a few mattresses which fit those needs, gave me feed back, and gave me an amazing price. Ken even looked up an old purchase I had made and gave me a solution to a problem i was having with the unit after 10 years of use! I will be back soon to fix that issue and will definitely recommend Metro Mattress and the John Glenn store in particular to friends and family!

Gabe offered an excellent shopping experience. He was candid and refrained from any superfluous sales tactics and stayed to the point whilst remaining courteous (and mindful that we were in a time crunch with a sleeping infant with us). We purchased a King size temperpedic hybrid and Gabe was able to hook us up with next-day white glove delivery and removal of our POS old mattress. Great experience overall.

12 yrs ago bought a mattress @ Metro in New Hartford NY with 10 yr warranty. Very pleased with it 12 yrs later but needed a new one. Today (02/17/20) we went to Metro in Rome NY to buy another new mattress. Loved the salesman Carey! This guy was very knowledgeable-not pushy and a great personality! Zero stars if I could. All sales are final period. No matter what you buy you are stuck with it. I was talked into buying a $299.99 cooling mattress protector to get the 30 day comfort guarantee not knowing that it did NOT apply to the mattress protector. The mattress protector is thicker than a basic waterproof one and fits very tight and made the mattress hard. This mattress protector is not good for a spring air Jamestown mattress. This was my second purchase and my last from metro mattress.

Called & spoke to Gabe. I had checked it out online beforehand so I knew what I wanted. Walked in the door...Gabe greeted me w mask on & and elbow bump & BOOM... done. My daughter gets her new mattress delivered the next day! Easy peasy! And she got a free set of sheets! Great experience!

So easy to choose a mattress online. Received a call in less than an hour for delivery. Second time I have gone to Metro Mattress with absolutely no problems. Don't go anywhere else to buy your mattress.

I ordered this mattress online. Within 3 days I was contacted by MM, they scheduled delivery the next day. Delivery guys got there early but waited for me to get home! They made the process very easy, took my old mattress away, and were very friendly and accommodating! The mattress is unbelievably comfortable and was worth every $$!! I definitely recommend the product and the service provided by Metro Mattress!

It was a great experience. The gentleman work very well with me when I told him the price range it did not change their way of treating me that really meant a lot, I was just important as someone buying a $3,000 mattress to someone buying a $600 mattress I definitely will tell others about this store

The salesman was very patient with all our questions. The two delivery people were efficient, took the time to adjust the supporting box. New mattress is very comfortable.
